Jessica Donlon is client services manager at PR 20/20. She joined the agency in March 2011 with nearly three years of PR agency experience. Jessica is a 2008 graduate of Ohio University, and a Certified Inbound Marketing Professional.

- Season: All—Jessica loves the outdoors
- Class/subject in school: Math or history
- Subject in life: Culture, dining and entertainment (art, sports, socializing)
- Food: Sushi, steak, fish, salad and mac & cheese
- Vacation spot: Relaxing on the beaches of the Outer Banks of NC (OBX) is her favorite type of vacation, but Jess is always up for a nonstop weekend in Vegas with her girlfriends
- Book (business and/or pleasure): Time Traveler’s Wife, The Ragamuffin Gospel and Drive
- Movie: Dude, Where’s My Car?, Ferris Buehler’s Day Off, The Princess and the Frog, The Princess Bride, any Disney movie, most James Bond / Bourne adventure flicks, and absolutely nothing scary—not even Hocus Pocus
People Who Most Inspire Jessica:
- Professionally: Clayton Christensen, Walt Mossberg, Oprah, Steve Jobs, President Obama, Michelle Obama, Melinda Gates and Gary Vaynerchuck.
- Personally: Her family—from her grandparents to little brother. Jessica says: “We’ve all followed dreams and helped each other achieve them. I’m really blessed to have a close-knit community of family and friends. “
Jessica’s Passions:
Professionally, Jessica finds inspiration in clear goals, strategies and messaging, and creativity. In general Jessica is most passionate about enjoying life. “Life is too short to not take a look around every once in a while, smile and be happy. I really try to say yes to adventures and opportunities, and spend quality time enjoying the gift of family and friends.“
Her hobbies include: coaching basketball; adventuring (hikes, skiing, traveling, road trips); going out to great restaurants and bars in Cleveland; and painting.
What Jessica Enjoys About …
- The Marketing Industry: It’s always changing. While she has daily routines in place, no day is exactly like the one before. Propelled by advancing technology, industry trends, and learning the ins and outs of clients’ different industries, Jessica knows that she’s in an industry, and career, that will continually evolve to deliver the same overall goal: help her clients communicate with the people they care about most.
- Agency Life: Working for an agency is a fast-paced rush, “something an adventurer like me thrives on.” It also means there’s constant collaboration with colleagues and industry leaders she admires. Jessica says that the best thing about PR 20/20 specifically is that we’re not just colleagues, we’re friends.
Advice for Young Professionals and Students:
Learn all you can, and create and nourish connections. You could help your best friend from college get a job in 5 years, or you could be working for the freshman on your organization’s board one day. The PR industry is so connected, you never know who you’ll depend on one day, or who will be shaping and advancing the industry.
Establish and protect your brand. The first thing I do when I meet someone new is Google them. What presence do you have online? Hint: You should have one, and it should reflect the message you desire.
